I know, I know I have been away for minute. I have had aLOT going on and simply was unable to give my blog the time and attention it deserved but that changes starting now. August is my birthday month and last month was filled with fun, love and change.
The most fun event in August was helping my cousin plan her wedding in six weeks! Yes. My darling cousin has been engaged for several months but decided she wanted to get married on her birthday - August 30, 2015. She shared this with me at the end of July. She wanted something small and intimate and under $5,000 (yep) so we kicked some ideas around. She and her fiancee had just moved into a home with a huge backyard so we decided to do it there. She asked me to help her plan it and my first wedding planner experience was born. I envisioned a rustic, intimate, but beautiful day. We settled on White as the primary color with splashes of silver. We then set about putting it all together. Here is a view of the setting after execution. I have to say it turned out pretty awesome. Most of the items for the wedding were purchased on Amazon.com and Michaels Arts & Craft. DO NOT Sleep on Amazon.com when planning a wedding on a budget. We found just about everything we needed and using Amazon Prime everything arrived within 2 days of ordering.
Friends and family pitched in to help set up on the morning of the 4pm wedding and it all came together beautifully. You can get married without going into debt! I really enjoyed planning and executing this wedding. To respect my cousin's privacy I'm not posting additional pictures but it was truly a beautiful and intimate experience. The bride was happy and so was I.

The Brooch Bouquet was my Birthday Gift to the Bride who also celebrated her birthday on her wedding day. It was her something new. Cake Topper courtesy of Amazon.com. Yes. Amazon.com.
