I'm Shirlene Anne Marie founder of Baldielicious a lifestyle & fashion blog.   I'm a single mom to a son and two doggies.  I'm an attorney, a shoe addict, a lover of bling and a Stella & Dot Stylist (link to my site here.)   I also happen to be living with alopecia.  I decided recently to shave my head and live the remainder of my life bald.  I was hiding a part of myself behind wigs and it was time to be me and be free!

 

When I decided to share that I've been living with alopecia for over 15 years there was such an outpouring of support but there were also so many notes from women living with alopecia who thanked me for talking publicly about my struggles. The email notes and messages via Instagram and Facebook inspired me to start my own blog where I could share my style, my love of shoes and other accessories and share my adventures as I strive to live Bald, Brave, Badass and Beautiful. 

 

ABOUT THE BLOG

I noticed that while there are many lifestyle & fashion blogs out there I could not find any that spoke directly to me -- a beautiful, smart, fashionable woman who just happens to be bald. So I decided to write my own blog as I realize that there are so many more bald women (whether by choice or not) who are just as stylish as me.  This blog is a celebration of that  style and that beauty --- Bald Beauty. Because there is nothing more beautiful than being brave enought to live your life on your own terms and define your own beauty.  

 

So via this Blog I will share my fashion finds, share tips on my personal style and feature and introduce my readers to women who epitomize Bald Beauty.  

 

We are ALL Beautiful in our own way because true beauty comes from within. Embrace the things that make you different because that is where your true beauty lies!  Here's to being Bald, Brave, Badass and Beautiful!
